The PED Containment Pocket (PCP) is a state-of-the-art solution that allows cabin management mobile devices like smartphones and tablet computers to be safely stowed and charged without crew presence.
The PCP is designed to be installed on various monuments in the aircraft cabin by means of two inserts. In the event of a thermal runaway, it is quickly removed from the monument so that it can be relocated to a fire-protected place for a safe cool-down of the mobile device.
Depending on the type of mobile device, three different PCPs are available: a small variant for smartphones, and large variants (landscape and portrait) for tablet computers, whereby both large variants only have
different orientations to cover different installation locations
